 Duncan A. McMillan Mr. McMillan received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Michigan in 1974. He received his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Michigan in 1978. He has received Martindale Hubbell's highest peer review rating of A/V. During his college years, Mr. McMillan worked for an insurance defense firm in Chicago, Illinois, the Charlevoix County Prosecutor’s Office, and a law firm in Anchorage, Alaska. In 1978, he became associated with a local Grand Rapids law firm in general practice. He joined Mr. Girtz in practice in 1980. Mr. McMillan specializes in appellate law and workers’ compensation law. He has presented cases before the Workers’ Compensation Appellate Commission, the former Workers’ Compensation Appeal Board, the Michigan Court of Appeals and the Michigan Supreme Court. In addition, Mr. McMillan has made seminar presentations concerning workers’ compensation law to the Workers’ Compensation Section of the Michigan State Bar, the Grand Rapids Bar Association and various employers and insurers. He has hosted each of the presentations at KGV’s annual client seminar and is the editor of the KGV workers’ compensation newsletter. He is regular articles contributor to the "Employer's Worker's Comp Alert", a monthly news magazine that focuses on workers' compensation issues and case law in Michigan and around the country. He is a former member of the Workers’ Compensation Funds Advisory Committee.
